Hi Y'all,  I've had a GREYT couple of weeks here at my foster home.  My foster mom and dad and my greyt sister and brother have taught me all kinds of neat stuff about living in a home.  My life at the track was never like this!  My life there was in a cage, getting turned out 3-4 times a day, chasing a fake rabbit, going back to my cage, getting fed in my cage, and sleeping in my cage.  No one ever hugged me or petted me or rubbed my tummy.  All that has changed!

I was pretty shy at first, but I've learned that my mom and dad will pet me, hug me, rub my neck and my tummy almost whenever I want.  At first I thought the cats were funny-looking rabbits, but after one of the bopped me on my nose, we've become good friends.  Sometimes I'll chase one through the house, but then the cat will chase me.  More often we just bump noses.

Stairs were scary at first, too.  I wanted to follow dad and the others upstairs, but didn't know how.  For a while I stood at the bottom and whined, but then I got brave enough to crawl up to the top step on my stomach.  But then I panicked and crawled back down.  The next time I made it though and since then I run up and down along with my brother and sister.

I've also learned about walking on a lead and not chasing squirrels when I'm on the lead!  I'm still pretty curious about everything new both inside and outside.  I've met lots of other dogs and seem to get along with them just fine.  Oh, and did I mention that I LOVE stuffed animals and dog chews.  Mom bought me a stuffed animal that squeaks when I bite down on it.  I like to throw it up in the air and pounce on it when it comes down.  Dad says the chew bones keep my mouth busy when I'm awake and help keep me entertained.

I still sleep in my crate at night and whenever everyone is away, and dad says I've never messed in my crate.  I think I've learned to whine and bark when I need to go outside, but sometimes I whine and bark just to get to go out even when I don't need to.

Well I've got to go now.  Dad's ready to pet me again.  You can come pet me at one of the meet and greets, but if you'd like to adopt me, contact SEGA.

"BJ" (mom didn't like calling me Billy Jean, so I've learned to answer to BJ or Beej)
alias "The Grey with the incredibly shiny black coat."

Heck yeah, I like tennis balls!

Hi, My foster mom and dad call be "BJ" or "Beej" and I'm a dreamboat. My very shiny black coat is very dramatic, but I have a pure white spot on my chest and a little white on my two back feet. I'm very curious about things both inside and outside. Dad walks me several times a day along with my foster sister and brother. I often tag along with them, but more often I have to investigate everything. Dad says I'm self-confident because I don't seem to be scared about anything.

I like playing with stuffed toys and chewing on dog bones, but I'm also very well behaved and don't chew on anything I'm not supposed to.  They say I'm cat tolerant, but in truth I'm "curious" about the cats--I'll sniff at them, whine, and sometimes bark, but the Siamese cat here stands up to me and backs me down when I get too close. In new settings I'm cautious and a little slow to make friends, but once I get to know you I'm affectionate and like being petted.

Oh, and as far as tennis balls, I LOVE THEM!  I chew on them, throw them up in the air, and pounce on them when they come down.  Dad bounced one down the hall and I almost ran over mom and the cat chasing it.  I think they're my favorite toy.

Tennis Anyone?

ok--truth be told, this Billie Jean is probably really only interested in the tennis balls--not the actual game. She'd probably make a great cheerleader too.
